I have integrated my former
website -- Count VerHuell (1764-1845) -- into
"The Napoleon Bonaparte Internet Guide"
so that I only have to maintain one site. The
article that I've written about VerHuell is quite
long, therefore, I have divided it into several
smaller sections that can
more easily be "clicked through".
On the pages titled "1764-1803" and
"1803-1845" you will find an overview
of the most important aspects of VerHuell's life.
These are excerpts taken from "Admiral van
Napoleon" (Admiral of Napoleon), written by
Prof. Dr. L. Turksma. I would like to thank John
Schneider, owner of the web page Napoleonic
Literature and
Beryl Bernardi , for helping me with the
translation into English. I hope this information
on Admiral VerHuell and the Dutch navy and their
contributions to the Napoleonic war effort, will
be of interest to you and enhance your knowledge
of the Napoleonic Era. |
