A MATTER OF COINCIDENCE
It is worthy of remark, that the defeat of Bonaparte, happened on
the anniversary of our declaration of war, and that the second
capitulation of Paris, on that of our glorious independence. A
singular coincidence of events! The anniversary of the day that
engaged us in a useless,wicked, and disgraceful war, witnessed
the total ruin of its author, and the memorable fourth of July,
which gave us our independence, gave to the world by the fall of
its persecutor, peace, liberty and happiness.
